Life is not meant to be easy. Life is about lessons, and contrast: good/bad, right/wrong. How would we know joy if we had not known sadness?
When we are born, we are pure and innocent. Then as we grow, we learn. However for most of us we learned wrongly. That is the nature of our reality. Most children are not taught Truth, but rather some variation of the Truth. Many of us learned that life is a struggle, that is about survival, that we are often alone, lonely, and feel unloved. None of that is true, of course. We are bright and beautiful beings, loved by our Creator as a mother loves her child.
Our own self-judgement clouds our days and calls forth self-sabotage. How do we stop that cycle? By seeing ourselves as innocent. As we love the child who makes messes and makes mistakes, so we can love ourselves, even when we make mistakes. We can observe our own messes and then continually correct our course while remembering our own innocence. Observe, correct and do not invalidate yourself.
